Catch the Opportunity if You Can!

In order to make the 2016 Butterfly Show a success, we need the help of area volunteers. Over 1,000 volunteers are needed to work as Door Guards, Greeters and Craft Room Assistants!

This year’s Butterfly Show will fly through March 26th through June 19th.

Two daily shifts are available: 9:45-1:30 and 1:15-5 (some evening shifts available from 4:30-8:30pm). Volunteers should dress appropriately for the higher temperatures inside the conservatory and always wear closed toe shoes.

  • Door Guards: Monitor the doors to ensure butterflies remain inside the showroom area as visitors enter and exit.
  • Greeters: Will greet and direct visitors upon arrival to the Conservatory in addition to doing surveys and giving general Krohn Directions.
  • Craft Room Assistants: will monitor supplies and assist children with the making of simple crafts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Volunteers will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the show after their first shift. Double Ticket and Double Service Hour days randomly occur, so pay close attention to emails!

Have a group?
Consider Adopting a Day!

Have a group volunteer outing in which you would provide {a minimum of 8} volunteers for all day coverage. The shifts break down to 2 time slots: 9:45-1:30 and 1:15-5 (the shifts are flexible if coverage is met). Four people are needed in each time slot. Please contact Sarah Schmalz directly for more information and the incentives offered.
